Florida Firecats Slip Back to 6th in Week 16 Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats slipped from 3rd back into 6th following their 47-40 loss to the South Georgia Wildcats last weekend. The Firecats had occupied the 6th spot for 4 weeks before jumping to 3rd ahead of last [UTF-8?]Saturday’s game.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers maintained their No. 1 ranking of the Weekly Coaches Poll for the 12th straight week while running their record to 13-0 holding on for a 48-47 win over Ft. Wayne. The Pioneers clinched home field advantage throughout the American Conference playoffs with the win.

Each week during the season the coaches vote for the leagues top 16 teams. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams and the poll ≠results have no bearing on postseason qualification.
