Firecats Featured in EA Sports Video Game

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats are going digital with the release of EA Sports ArenaFootball Road To Glory. For the first time ever fans will be able to play a video game as the Florida Firecats. WR/DB Brent Burnside, a 7 year af2 veteran, is prominently featured on game’s back cover.

Fans will be able to play as their favorite players from both the af2 and AFL in EA Sports’ newest game, which includes more than 40 teams from both leagues. Gamers will be able to take the Firecats to the ArenaCup and then export the Firecats players into the AFL and battle towards an ArenaBowl championship.

“It’s cool, I can’t wait to see if Cyber-Wallace is as good and the real thing,” said Firecats Quarterback Chris Wallace. “I might have to find some cheat codes to boost my game if he’s not. I can see me and the guys spending a lot of time playing this game.”

The game, which includes players from the Florida Firecats 2006 roster, goes on sale in some area stores today and will continue to be distributed nationwide by Tuesday February 27th. ArenaFootball Road To Glory is available for play on the Sony PlayStation2. To preview the game log on to the Firecats newly re-designed website at www.FloridaFirecats.com.

“This is truly exciting for our players and our fans,” said Firecats President and General Manager Chris Vallozzi. “Our fans can play the game as their favorite player and then come to Germain Arena to see the video game come alive before their eyes.”
