The five-year vet and 2004 Offensive Player of the Year appeared in 3 games with the Firecats last season.

Burstein finished the 2004 campaign with 119 catches for an af2 best 1,648 yards and a league leading 43 touchdowns to go along with his league best 270 points. He also
returned 52 kickoffs for 1,013 yards and a pair of scores. His numbers were good
enough to set single season team records for receptions, receiving yards, receiving
touchdowns, kickoff return yards and points for the then Cape Fear Wildcats.

In addition to the Wildcats Burstein spent time with the Columbus Wardogs and
Albany Conquest of the af2 and the Grand Rapids Rampage in the AFL.

Burstein has lived in Southwest Florida for the past 3 years and started his own
business with former Firecats kicker Matt Groff after leaving arena football in 2005.

Carlos Campbell

Campbell played for the Tennessee Valley Vipers in 2007. He finished 3rdon the team
with 64.5 tackles.

Played in 44 career games at Notre Dame from 2001-04 and finished with 40 tackles,
including 25 as a senior…Was a two-way starter at Hampton (Va.) High and earned
all-state honors while playing quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver.

Champaign finished his WSSU career as a four-year starter for the Rams as he helped to anchor a Ram rushing attack that led the conference in yards from scrimmage for three seasons as well as saw a pair of running backs crack the 1,000 yard barrier in the same season twice. Champaign appeared in 36 games for the Rams during his career. Named to the 2005 All-CIAA second team as a junior.

While at Lower Richmond High School in Hopkins, SC, he was an All-Area and All-State selection in his junior and senior seasons.

Chapman played in 7 games for the Firecats last season collecting 12.5 tackles and 2.5 tackles for a loss.

In 2006 he was an All-Conference 1st team selection from an indoor football league team in North Carolina after leading his conference with 13 sacks.

Chapman was signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2004 as an undrafted free agent however he suffered a torn ligament in his foot and was released.

He amassed 24 sacks in 2 seasons at Los Angeles Valley JC before transferring to N.C. State. Coming off the bench in 2001, he led the Wolfpack in sacks with 7 and also racked up 27 tackles including 10 for a loss.

Cousins played for the Tennessee valley Vipers in 2007. Finished second on the team
with 66.5 tackles. He also recovered four fumbles returning three for touchdowns.

He appeared in 12 games while at USC collecting 28 tackles. He was a 1999 Super Prep
JUCO 100 pick as a linebacker in 1999 at West Los Angeles California Junior
College. He won All-Western State Conference honorable mention honors as a
defensive end. He also was a sprinter and javelin thrower on West Los Angeles' track
team.

2007 marked his third season with the Firecats, Dingle He finished the season with
11.5 tackles, including 4.5 for losses, 4 and a half sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 1
blocked kick. Dingle has 40.5 tackles, 9.5 sacks and 5 blocked kicks during his
Firecats career.

While playing for the Scottish Claymores in NFL Europe; he was the leader of the
Defensive Line known as “The Hounds” which racked up an amazing 44 sacks in
2000. He was named to the Claymores 10 Seasons All-Star team, recognizing the best
players at each position in the franchises’ history.

100 players in Florida, named first-team 5-A all-state at linebacker and also ranked
among the top 75 players in Florida by SuperPrep.

Gibson was a walk-on in 2001 and earned a scholarship in 2002 while playing for the
Tarheels.

While at T. C. Williams High School he was named team MVP. School's all-time
leader in receptions and yardage by a tight end and set the single-season sack record.
Made it to the state finals in basketball too.

Bruce Gordon

Gordon only played one year of college football at Temple in 2005 but snagged 42 catches for 601 yards with a touchdown on a team that averaged just nine points per game.

He spent time at Perdue and Dodge City Community College. Gordon led the Dodge City Conquistadors in receiving for two straight seasons, and finished second in the conference in receiving yards. He was a first team All-Jayhawk Conference selection, and a second team All-NJCAA selection.

He won a state championship in 2001 at Naples High.

Finished his collegiate career with three interceptions and 78 total tackles for theWolfpack. Left NC State following junior campaign to enter NFL Draft.

At St. Thomas Aquinas he earned All-county and Class 4A all-state honors. Ranked No. 19 defensive back in the nation by Max Emfinger in 2000.

Hooper won a state soccer championship in 2001 with Bishop Verot High.

Jones played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers in 2007 finishing the season with 86 receptions for 1044 yards and 21 TD’s. In 2006 he he recorded 52 catches for 702 yards with 14 touchdowns for the Albany Conquest.

He was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2002, but was released prior to training camp. He attended training camp with the Las Vegas Gladiators (AFL) in January 2003.

Jones was a two-time Division III All-American. He amassed 3,523 receiving yards in three seasons at Widener (most in school history). During his career, he had 17, 100 yards receiving games (most in school history) and scored 30 touchdowns in 2001 (2nd in school history).

Led the South Georgia Wildcats in 2006 with 96.5 tackles and led the team with 4 fumble recoveries and 2 interceptions.

2004 All-MEAC 2nd team selection. McCoy finished his N.C. A&T career with nine interceptions, and returned more than half of those picks (five) for touchdowns.

He played with the af2’s South Georgia Wildcats the previous 3 seasons. Was a 2006 All-af2 2nd
Team Special Teams Player averaging 17 yards per return with 2 kicks taken back for scores. Finished the 2006 season in the af2’s Top 10 for catches, receiving yards and touchdowns after leading the Wildcats with 139 receptions for 1593 yards and 33 TD’s. He and QB Chris Wallace were teammates in 2004 with the Cape Fear Wildcats, the franchise relocated to Georgia in 2005.

While at Guliford, he was a four-time All-ODAC performer who caught 163 passes
and set ODAC records for punt return yardage and touchdowns.

He played his high school ball for the Green Wave at Ft. Myers High. Despite only playing one year of football he finished the season third on the team in tackles with 93 as a senior from nose guard position and set the school record for the dead lift and the power clean.

Peattie served as the Firecats kicker the final 5 games of the 2007 season. He scored 32 points by connecting on 32 of 38 point after attempt tries.

Jon Peattie finished his career in Coral Gables as the ‘Canes 2nd leading scorer in school history with 336 points. In four years as Miami’s starter he connected on 64 field goal attempts and added 144 PAT’s. After a redshirt freshman season in 2002, Jon converted 99 consecutive extra points before his first miss in 2005, which was the second-longest streak in school history.

The former Parade All-American was also named Parade's No. 1 national wide receiver prospect...selected as the nation's top wide receiver prospect by several publications, including the Florida Times-Union's Super 75, Athlon Sports Top 100 High School Seniors, Alliance Sports Top 100 and Tom Lemming's Top 100 and was selected to the 2001 USA Today All-USA First Team.

As junior in 2003 and a senior in 2004 he was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after leading the Jayhawks DB’s in tackles and finishing 3rd on the team both seasons. The Florida native spent part of the 2006 season with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL.

Wallace is coming off one of the best statistical seasons of his career. Wallace finished the regular season as the af2’s 2nd most efficient QB and the 2nd highest passer rating.

He threw 80 TD’s and just 7 INT’s in the regular season. He was named to the af2’s All-Conference 2nd team last year, his second straight all-conference team recognition. He has thrown for 11,712 yards and 265 touchdowns in a Firecat uniform. In 2006 he became the first QB to toss 100 TD’s in a single season.

Winchester played for the Evansville Bluecats in 2006 & 2007. He was named United Indoor Football Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. In addition to Rookie of the Year honors, Winchester also earned 2006 UIF Defensive MVP “Honorable Mention” honors and was named the 2006 UIF First Team All-Star at linebacker.

In the spring of 2005, he signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns and attended Rookie Mini Camp.

Winchester started at linebacker for four years at the University of Louisiana –Monroe from 2001-2004 after redshirting as a true freshman in 2000. He earned all conference honors during his junior and senior seasons, and was named an Academic All-American for his work in the classroom.
