Notre Dame to Begin Four-Game Series in 2015 PDF 

Notre Dame and Texas, two of the winning football programs in the history of the NCAA will begin four game series in 2015.
The series begins in South Bend in 2015 and continued in Austin in 2016. After a two year break, the series back to Austin in 2019, before concluding in South Bend in 2020.


"We are pleased to be able to renew the relationship between football," said Notre Dame and Texas, "Fighting Irish athletic director Jack Swarbrick. "History shows that this is already a multi-sectoral rivalry loaded with memorable moments, and I expect fans of both institutions will eagerly look forward to it Matchups of the universities."

These two schools are listed second and third most wins in the history of the NCAA, Texas has 845 victories over Notre Dame to the 837th The two schools met 10 times back to 1913 with the fighting Irish claimed victory in eight of those contests.
"When you match up two schools with so much pride, tradition and history, it is an event enjoyed every part thereof, and (vi) all really looking forward to (it)," said Texas men's athletics director DeLoss Dodds.

The last meeting between the schools in 1996 in Austin. Notre Dame took the last four matches against Texas. The last victory Longhorns "against the Irish came in 1969, the year that won the national championship.
