Chicago Rush outplayed by Tampa Bay 68-60 PDF 
Quarterback Brett Dietz connected on eight touchdowns and wide receiver Hank Edwards caught four of  those passes for scores as Tampa Bay defeated the Chicago Rush, 68-60, Friday night in an Arena Football League game that saw the Storm (9-3) win its 7th straight game and bolster a lead in the South Division.
Dietz, who connected on his first seven passes in the first quarter, finished with 359 yards on 24 of 31 tosses with no interceptions. It was his second highest total of the season.
 
Edwards grabbed 8 passes for 172 yards and teammates Sedrick Robinson had 7 catches for 95 yards while Tyrone Timmons had 9 grabs for 92 yards and three touchdowns.
 
Russ Michna led the Rush (9-4), completing 26 of 38 for 334 yards and 7 TDs. The Rush had won five of their last six games before tonight.
 
The big play of the game was a fumble recovery by Tampa Bay when Michael Hawthorne knocked the ball from Chicago receiver Syvelle Newton and it was recovered by the Storm's Erick McIntosh who returned the ball 28 yards for a tourchodown with 46 seconds left in the game.
 
The play gave the Storm a 68-53 margin.
 
A crowd of 15,704 watched the Storm defense pressure Michna all night and Kelvin Kinney came up with a big sack in the closing minutes. Michna lost 13 yards on the play.
 
Tampa Bay plays at Dallas on Friday, July 9 next.
