The fire of Utah announced the signing of three players, DB Labrose Hedgemon (5-10, 185, Jackson State), WR Eric McCain (6-6, 215, Glendale CA) and PP DeWayne Patterson (6-0, 220,State of Washington).

"We continue to add size and versatility of our corporation receiver and McCain will be a big part of it," said head coach Ron James."We are also pleased to give Hedgemon has been a major contributor to our team last season in the last two games. Patterson also add depth on the defensive side of the ball is critical to a successful 2011 campaign."
Hedgemon participated in two games last season with the Blaze, scoring 9.0 overall tackles, one interception and a pass break. He started the year on the list but Tulsa claws not appear in any game after suffering an injury. In 2009, Hedgemon pioneers played for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre, participating in five games, recording 21.5 total tackles and recovered a fumble and two pass breaks.He began his career at the University of Notre Dame and ended at Jackson State.

McCain began his first year in the AFL after being part of the billing Outlaws (IFL) and Quad City Steamwheelers (AF2). Also part of the Seattle Seahawks (NFL) and BC Lions (CFL). At Glendale Community College, was named NJCAA All-American wide receiver and MVP won the NJCAA national championship in 2005.

Patterson most recently played the past two seasons with the Wenatchee Valley Venom IFL. Played at Washington State University.
