| Cutler and abuse Raiders overwhelm Bears |
Jason Campbell was more relaxed this time, and it showed in the result. After a debut with a lot of nerves and little twinkle in their previous game preseason, the new Oakland quarterback this time led a long touchdown march in the opening drive of the game and the Raiders beat the Bears 32-17. Campbell played the first half of the game, completing 10 of 20 passes for 170 yards with one interception. He scored a rushing touchdown. In Oakland's defense, the star was Kamerion Wimbley, who had four sacks. Jay Cutler, quarterback for Chicago, who also played the entire first half, was sacked five times. Cutler completed 7 of 15 passes for 99 yards, with a throw of 22-yard touchdown to Johnny Knox. The Bears' offense had its flashing time when Matt Forte ran away in a touchdown of 89 yards. But Chicago made just two of 14 third downs in the game. |
