Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Greg Mattison left to fill the same role of new personnel Brady Hoke to Michigan.

 Mattison also was the defensive coordinator for the Wolverines during 1995 and 1996 seasons.

 

 "Greg loves Michigan, likes the recruitment and welcome back to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan," Hoke said in a statement. "Greg is one of the main coordinators of defense in football, and defense units have always been proud to stop the run. There will be a great asset to our program and an excellent addition to our staff."

 

 Hoke has also hired seven other members of his staff a week later was hired as football coach of Michigan 19.

 

 Offensive coordinator Al Borges, special teams coordinator Dan Ferrigno, the offensive line coach Darrell Funk, receivers coach Jeff Hecklinski, linebackers coach Mark Smith and strength and conditioning coach Aaron Wellman go with previous personal Hoke San Diego State.

 

 Long running backs coach Fred Jackson, Michigan, has been rehired for the job.

 

 Mattison was the defensive coordinator fellow Florida for three seasons from 2005 to 07. He then joined the Ravens for their linebackers coach in 2008 before serving as Baltimore's defensive coordinator the last two seasons.

 

 Mattison also spent eight seasons (1997-2004) on the staff of Notre Dame.

 

 He added that Michigan has been working earlier in his career, "said Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement." Greg is one of the good people who have the opportunity to meet in your life.
