 Brady Hoke has at least a couple of things in common with the late, great Bo Schembechler.
Both come from the Buckeye state, did not attend Michigan and rose in the management ranks before being shot to lead the Wolverines. Schembechler Michigan restored as a national power after being greeted with "Bo Who?" newspapers.
Hoke? Despite the success of the relays coach at San Diego State and Ball State, the former Michigan assistant, you might get a mixed reception, too, after fans demanded to bring Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles back to his alma mater. "Brady Hoke is an excellent option for Michigan," Carr wrote in a text message.
Brandon the investigation began much later than many thought it would be shortly after the Rodriguez-led Wolverines lost a school-record 38 points in a game of bowls on New Year's Day and lasted seven days were filled with speculation.
Tight end Kevin Koger and his colleagues showed a meeting had been planned and discovered they had a new coach.
"We thought it would be a meeting about the classes and the gym," said Koger. "Mr. Brandon came and dropped the news to us."

Hoke had four consecutive losing seasons, but led the Cardinals to a 12-1 record in 2008, the coach of Mid-American Conference the year before leaving to lead the Aztecs.
