The wait is (almost) over. After 6 long months, finally the oval ball has started to float in the air, even if it is only preseason.

Indeed, for many the wait is far from being a memory, because these games are viewed with indifference and detachment.

Others have thought differently. We could say that in some respects the preseason is fascinating.

First, abstinence is so great that football field review teams NFL already triggered positive emotions, but because it means that there are only 30 days at the beginning of the season.

It is also the first opportunity to see the shots of the opera free agency, as you are entering the new team, and you begin to discover the rookies, who are often mysterious objects that at best the fans know only through the highlights and reading the reports of the scouts.

There is also a fact overlooked by many, or you see real football. Not in the first quarter when the owners try some snap, because those concerns are only to take the rhythm game and avoid injuries.

But how come the reserves play for a place to enter the final roster, then there is a real battle for every yard, every ball, with contacts and a real fight for every inch of the field that represents the essence of the game. All this can only pleasure impassioned, although the quality of the game is inevitably mediocre if not lower.

In fact technically there is no denying that we are far from the game that we will see in the regular season.

The playbook will not be disclosed, and obviously while we do many experiments, to render meaningless the final result. Remains in any case slowly discover the interest in much of the roster and see how the players, which signals start to give and in what physical conditions are.

It has become tradition that starts with the preseason Hall of Fame Game, which is the meeting that concludes the introductory ceremony of the legends of this sport in the ark of the glory of Canton, Ohio. This year two teams were selected that have high ambitions and for different reasons are of great curiosity.

The Dallas Cowboys on one side, who were unable to deploy the player most expected, rookie Dez Bryant injured during training camp and unable to return to the field if not in season.

His absence, however did not look away from Roy Williams every game drive in the first step, because it is the former Texas noted the special this time to see how it will react to a very bad year and the Cowboys jersey breathing down your neck of the young product of Oklahoma State.

Then there are considerations to make regarding the LT spot, with Flozell Adams released in late 2009 that brings Doug Free and Alex Barron to play the starting spot. Both have much to prove, for free because of him, the leadership has so much to the point that it had decided to cut its Adams, while the former Florida State arrived from St. Louis is looking for redemption after a career in which the first part of was far from keeping its promises on leaving the college

Finally, the secondary, another role that has seen a significant cut, to Ken Hamlin, not replaced either by free agency or the draft, so if you mount the curiosity to see how young people respond in the roster as Mike Hamlin and Alan Ball that are unknown to all the fans, eager to see if at least one of them is a solid starter able to not regret the immobility of the market during the off season.

Side the interest of the Bengals are even more.
The first course is to see if the football field there is enough space to contain all the ego of Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco.

The opening line of the two potentially compromising to a question, is quite explicit: with Terrell Owens answered, "You've always been the number one receiver of your teams, but here in Cincinnati?" With "I'm Batman" and Chad Ochocinco has replied "and I'm Robin."

Too bad it's not Antonio Bryant. We do not know what we've thought of hearing this answer, but for him the role of Gordon is too tight, and then we keep the curiosity to see how they adapt to this situation where a number 3 receivers will to live.

Problem that coach Mike Zimmer will be fully aware manage to be sitting on a powder keg that could explode in a positive way because of talent to dream big now there in abundance, but it could explode in the negative as it was accumulated almost all the talent problem in one of the NFL franchise.

By Chad Ochocinco to TO, Pacman Jones and Tank Williams to be via Andre Smith, Cedric Benson, Antonio Bryant and Matt Jones. And about Pacman, many want to understand how much rust on the nth return to the league for what will almost certainly his last chance despite the age of 26.

The meeting began as scheduled with the owners who have seen the field for a few minutes, and I miss the flames.

Then it was the turn of the back up and that was at least instructive to start discovering players like QB McGee is planned to become the subject of Romo within a year.

Encouraging game for him, but with well timed shots while still too close to a kind of game from the NCAA, with too little movement and still master of his pocket. While the TE John Phillips was the one who got more attention, not only receiving but also as a blocker, thus initiating the first to pass sleepless nights to Bennett, no longer so sure of second place in the rating Coach Garrett. Unfortunately, even before he ended the second quarter was injured knee, and now it is just to see what must be stopped.

Free Doug very well that dominated a tough opponent as Odom is on the pass protection schemes in that race, while Barron has been disappointing, with a couple of occasions when he lost his man went to take the QB.

Finally department kicker still problems with Buhler who has placed between the poles 3 of 4 field goal, but still made a bad mistake, has proved inaccurate and insecure, even in close-kicks, so it is still far from convinced Jerry Jones not devise a contingency plan.

Tigers Ohio instead had very encouraging signs that Pacman has been shown to have still move with the times by Tennessee, then by Geno Atkins who has consistently put pressure on the QB, as Michael Johnson, who spent the night to put crisis, the offensive linemen, unable to contain more than two consecutive actions.

A major problem has been that instead of discipline and concentration, so that flags are flown on the field without interruption and have heavily penalized team.

Finally, TO and Palmer are still on different pages of the book of patterns. We see that there is still no tune, but the former receiver of the Bills landed in Cincinnati is only a few days, and had no time to digest the playbook and come up with new QB in the affinity necessary to revert to being a WR at least similar to what they remember in Dallas. In any case, no worries, it's just a matter of time.

For the record, the end result was 7.16 for the Texans, in a meeting where the second and third units of the Cowboys were far more convincing than the Bengals, especially for a bad night Jordan Palmer, the third QB depth behind the brother of Carson and JT O'Sullivan, who has made bad reads, and against a well-TD has launched two interceptions and both very similar, with misreading that the LB to drop in coverage.

This was a nice appetizer, though far from the main course that will arrive in 5 weeks to 1 week. Concluded, however, an emotionally intense weekend, with perhaps the best class ever introduced in the Hall of Fame, with Dick LeBeau, Emmit Smith and Jerry Rice all, which certainly did not need to be submitted.

So now you begin to breathe in the championship atmosphere, and the days when the NFL is completely stopped, in which the only news are those involving the players who violate the codes of conduct, are now behind us.
