The Kentucky Horsemen capitalized on the Florida Firecats miscues overcomming a 21 point first quarter defecit to get an 83-48 win Saturday night in Rupp Arena and break the team’s two-game losing streak.

The Horsemen improve to 4-4 with the victory, while Florida drops to 3-6 with the loss. The two teams have now split their season series after a Florida win in Estero, Fla., earlier this season.

Quarterback Jared Lorenzen completed 8-of-17 passes for 66 yards with four touchdown passes, while fellow signal-caller Justin Rascati was 6-for-8 for 102 yards with two scoring strikes. Wide receiver John Cooper finished with five catches for a team-high 73 yards receiving, while Lonnell DeWalt hauled in five passes for 65 yards with four touchdown receptions.

On the ground, Lorenzen also rushed for a touchdown, while Demetrius Forney had 12 net yards rushing with two touchdowns.

Florida quarterback Chris Wallace was 32-of-51 from scrimmage for 356 yards with seven touchdowns. Two receivers eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark as Magic Benton had 13 catches for 177 yards with two touchdowns, while Chris McKiney had eight grabs for 100 yards with four TDs.
